Can I be honest with you? I am a total wine-lover, so tequila for the holidays is extremely out of the box for me. But then I found out that I lovvvve these, a lot.
This is like combining everything I’ve ever loved in a holiday drink and shaking it to fizzy, festive, sparkly perfection: cranberry, rosemary, ginger, and lime. And tequila, although that’s not exactly the sort of thing you’ve loved forever for Christmas.
1. Pomegranate Ginger Paloma
Okay, time for a little pivot from cranberry. Let’s talk about pomegranate. YES.
A typical Paloma? That’s tequila and grapefruit soda. But this version? I’m just going to say it. It might be even better!
You still get the grapefruit and tequila, just like the original drink. But we’re also bringing in deeply fruity pomegranate and a lightly spiced ginger beer.
It’s sweet, it’s spicy, and it’s just oh-so-fresh. A total win.
Ingredients: ginger simple syrup, crushed ice, pomegranate juice, lime juice, tequila, ginger beer or sparkling water
2. White Christmas Margaritas
Move over, eggnog. I am DREAMING of this White Christmas margarita. And after one sip, you’ll be dreaming about it, too.
It’s like a Mexican Mule and a cranberry marg had a baby. And it’s delicious.
It’s also stupidly easy to make, even though it looks so fancy. You can totally wow your guests with your bartending skills, even if you have zero!
I just know some candied ginger on top would be a fantastic garnish. Just think how amazing it’ll look on your Instagram feed!
Ingredients: tequila, white cranberry juice, lime juice, ginger beer, ice, fresh cranberries, fresh rosemary & lime slices (for garnish)
3. Best Pomegranate Margarita
This one is as red as Rudolph’s nose. Or Santa’s suit! And the flavors are just as vibrant. GAH.
It’s so yummy, I find myself wanting this one all year long.
It just has this perfect balance of sweet and salty, which is why it’s so delicious.
Everything just works, and nothing is too overpowering. And you just cannot beat that vibrant color!
Ingredients: pomegranate juice, silver tequila, Triple Sec, lime juice, ice cubes, lime wedges & pomegranate arils (for garnish)
4. Saint Nickarita
Ho ho ho! This Saint Nickarita is here to bring a holly-jolly good time to your next holiday party.
I’m pretty sure this is what Santa sips on when he’s not busy with the sleigh.
It’s just one of those stunning cranberry cocktails you’ll want to make all season.
It’s bubbly, it’s delicious, and your holiday party guests are going to absolutely love it!
Ingredients: tequila, cranberry juice, lime juice, Cointreau, club soda, fresh cranberries & lime wedges (for garnish)
5. Cranberry Citrus Paloma Punch
A party just isn’t complete without a punch, right? And this is the perfect punch for all that partying. (Try saying that five times fast!)
Jokes aside, this is a truly delicious holiday drink.
We’re talking bright, effervescent, and just bursting with holiday flavors!
Your guests will be raving about this cranberry Paloma recipe all the way to New Year’s. And maybe even longer!
Ingredients: cranberry puree, grapefruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, tequila blanco, lime soda, ice
6. Candy Cane Margarita
I just couldn’t make a Christmas drink list without peppermint! And this candy cane margarita is the perfect choice.
It’s a little unexpected, but I think you’re going to love it.
You get a fresh minty flavor from the peppermint extract and the crushed candy canes.
But it’s also loaded with sweet-tart berries and has a little touch of citrus. Just delish!
Ingredients: cranberry juice, tequila, orange liqueur, peppermint extract, raspberry seltzer water, crushed candy canes, lime wedges & candy canes (for garnish)
7. Mistletoe Margaritas
Pucker up and get ready to be wowed. This margarita recipe is just so delicious!
The orange and cranberry flavors feel so festive and exciting. Every single sip is just plain yummy.
And please, don’t forget to salt the rim! That salt makes the sweetness pop and makes the flavors even stronger, so it dazzles your tongue.
It’s almost as good as finding that special someone under the mistletoe. So make a big pitcher, and pucker up!
Ingredients: Grand Marnier, tequila, white cranberry juice, lime juice, simple syrup or agave nectar, lime wedge, fresh cranberries & rosemary (for garnish)
8. Holiday Clayton Margarita
This one is named for its creator, and it’s the perfect tequila cocktail for Christmas or Thanksgiving.
First, it has a bright pomegranate flavor with just a hint of orange and lime. Second, it’s made with egg whites.
That signature foam makes this one super silky and gives it this beautiful, snow-like finish on top!
It’s totally safe to eat and doesn’t change the flavor one bit. That said, you can definitely leave it out if you want!
Ingredients: tequila, Cointreau, simple syrup, lime juice, pomegranate juice, egg white
9. Grinch Margarita
The Grinch might not have any Christmas spirit, but this drink is LOADED with it!
So if you’re feeling a little grumpy, just have a few sips. I have a feeling you won’t be so grinchy after.
That’s because this margarita is just scrumptious! And all you do is add everything to a cocktail shaker and give it a good shake.
But what makes this drink so grinchy? Well, a bit of food coloring turns it into this vibrant shade of green. It’s incredibly festive.
Ingredients: lime juice, white cranberry juice, tequila, Triple Sec, agave nectar, green food coloring, green sugar sprinkles (for the rim)
10. Christmas Cranberry Margarita
This Christmas Cranberry margarita recipe is just the epitome of all things holiday.
It features festive flavors and colors, and has a lovely blend of sweet and tart flavors.
But the real star of the show here is the rosemary simple syrup!
It’s sweet and herbaceous, and truly the highlight of the drink.
(Give this a fall twist and use apple cider instead of cranberry juice!)
Ingredients: silver tequila, cranberries, rosemary simple syrup, lime juice, fresh cranberries & rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
