1. Cereal Milk Tartlets
These cereal milk tartlets are so cute and colorful! They really do look like a fun treat to have right after a big meal.
Also, they’re a bit show stopping, and that makes them the perfect dessert to serve to guests (or just yourself). Last note, the base is a funfetti blondie crust which sounds absolutely amazing.
2. Guinness Beef Stew
Warm up your whole house with a hearty Guinness beef stew. Tender chunks of beef and plenty of veggies swim in a rich, Guinness-laced broth, pure comfort in a bowl.
I'm getting hungry just describing it. I've included two versions for you: one is extra indulgent with pancetta, and the other is just as delicious but comes together a bit faster.
3. Edamame Hummus
If you
4. Loaded Leporcon Popcorn
If you like sweet and salty, then I think this is a great dessert to add to your list of St. Patrick’s Day dishes! Or you could use plain popcorn (like what she suggests) if you’re not a huge fan of the flavor combo. And with butter, Lucky Charms, and M&M’s, it’s the perfect thing to snack on for this holiday.
5. Irish Coffee Cake
I love coffee cake, and I think I’ve loved it since I was a kid. It has such a satisfyingly tasty flavor.
And when you get the Irish version of a coffee cake, you know it’s gonna be good! Oh, and this recipe has as a streusel topping which sounds amazing! I’d say pair this Irish coffee cake with a nice hot creamy coffee or tea and you’re all set!
6. Pot of Gold Rainbow Rice Krispie Treats
Rice Krispy treats are almost always a crowd-pleaser, and these ones look like a lot of fun to make… and eat! They’re perfectly themed for St. Patricks Day and they won’t take up too much of your time in the kitchen.
7. Irish Potato Candies
If you’re wanting something sweet after your big St. Patrick’s Day feast, then definitely try Irish potato candies. They’re bite-sized treats that mimic the appearance of potatoes, but have a nice blend of coconut, sugar, and cinnamon.
8. Baked Matcha Cheesecake
I really love matcha, and this baked matcha cheesecake looks so good. Also, I feel like matcha is a great alternative to mint when it comes to green-colored desserts!
So if you’re not a huge mint fan, but you still wanna be festive, then this is a good option. Update: Site is no longer there, but here’s another good alternative for a matcha cheesecake recipe.
9. Beer Braised Short Ribs
These beer braised short ribs bring all the rich, tender goodness you want in a holiday main, especially if corned beef and cabbage isn't your thing. The beef gets fall-apart tender in a savory beer sauce. Pile them next to some extra buttery mashed potatoes and dinner is sorted.
10. Twice Baked Shepherd’s Pie Potatoes
These twice baked potatoes are such a clever spin on shepherd's pie. You get a fluffy baked potato shell loaded with savory meat, veggies, and a mount of mashed potatoes on top, like a little Irish comfort food hug. In my opinion, you just can't go wrong with a twice-baked potato situation.
11. Colcannon
Colcannon is basically creamy mashed potatoes mingling with sautéed greens and loads of butter, such a classic. I mean, can you even have St. Patrick's Day without mashed potatoes? I've got the version I first shared here, plus a recipe from an Irish cook if you want a more traditional take.
12. Mini Guinness Chocolate Cakes

15. Comforting Irish Beef Stew
This comforting Irish beef stew is exactly what you want curling up with on a cold day. It's one of the best St. Patrick's Day meals, in my opinion.
Pair it with a mountain of mashed potatoes. Honestly, that combo sounds incredible, and you've got yourself the perfect hearty dinner.
16. Corned Beef
If you're building your St. Patrick's Day menu, this classic corned beef has to be right at the top. I love corned beef, so I've got a couple of ways you can make it for your celebration.
The first is a glazed version that honestly looks incredible. The sweetness plays so beautifully against that salty, tangy beef. It serves six and needs only 10 minutes of hands-on time, which makes it a total win in my book.
17. Traditional Irish Corned Beef Hash
Corned beef hash has been a personal favorite of mine since I was a kid, so rich and cozy. This traditional version loads up crispy potatoes, onions, and savory leftover corned beef into one satisfying skillet. Top it with a couple of runny eggs and I swear it's the best thing you'll eat all day.
18. Shepherd’s Pie
I love shepherd’s pie and both of these options look so good! The first shepherd’s pie recipe is made in a cast iron skillet and has plenty of herbs, garlic, spices, and savory ground lamb.
And the second one is a shepherd’s pie you can make in a Dutch oven and is made with wonderful ingredients like red wine, cheese, bacon, and flavorful seasonings. Check both out and see which one looks best to you!
19. Irish Steak Pie
Look at how cute these pies are! I mean, can’t you just imagine putting them down on the table for you and your guests?

This dish looks like a really filling and flavorful dinner idea if you’re wanting a traditional main that’s not corned beef and cabbage. And with a prep time of just 15 minutes, it’s a low-stress Saint Patrick’s Day food to make for a small crowd.

These are so cute and look delicious! Also, a fun treat for the kids (and adults). No complaints over here. 😉 It’s a very simple recipe and it looks like a fun festive dessert to make for Saint Paddy’s Day and maybe bring to a party.
26. Guinness Chocolate Cake
I’m not the biggest cake fan, but this one does look really moist and delicious. Like I could see myself maybe having two (or more) slices.
Not healthy, but it’s a holiday, so those kind of calories don’t count… right? Oh, and with a cream cheese frosting, it has my vote.
27. Irish Coffee Cake With Baileys
If you’re wanting a really good St. Patrick’s Day dessert, then try an Irish coffee cake, where the richness of coffee and the smoothness of an ultra creamy whipped cream come nicely together. It’s a St. Patrick’s recipe that I don’t think should be missing from your dessert spread.
28. Cheddar & Stout Biscuits

32. Apple Beer Cheese Soup
You'll enjoy your celebration so much more with a bowl of apple beer cheese soup. Sure, it's not green, but it is creamy, absurdly cheesy, and feels ridiculously rich, ideal for a chilly March day. It adds a gorgeous pop of cozy to any table full of hearty St. Paddy's dishes.
33. Colcannon Soup (Cabbage Potato Soup)
There's something about a potato and cabbage soup that just screams comfort, right? It's so creamy and packed with flavor.
Shower it with crispy bacon and I honestly think it works as a stunning side or the star of the meal. This one is inspired by authentic Irish colcannon, so if you're craving that cozy soup vibe, you absolutely need to make it.
34. Irish Soda Bread
If you want some more great sides to add to your table, then I think Irish soda bread is a great addition. The recipe featured above has cardamom, cheese, rosemary, and other wonderful ingredients.
But if you’re looking for something a bit more authentic (made by an Irish cook), then here’s another Irish soda bread recipe you can check out. It’s just a bit more simple.
