Care for some cocktails that taste more like something sweet?
I know I do, and that’s why I’m obsessed with these Kahlua wonders!
There’s something that always makes me feel a little upscale whenever it’s in the picture.
If you also love this liqueur, then try one of these 9 Kahlua drinks! I’m sure you’ll discover some new favorites.
1. B-52 Cocktail
This shot is one of those “fun” options that doesn’t hit you as hard as straight-up whiskey or vodka.
With its layers of Kahlua, Baileys, and Grand Marnier, it creates a pretty sight in the glass with all those different colors. While layering the different liqueurs takes some work, once you learn it, your friends will think you’re a professional bartender.
As for the flavor? It’s a mix of caramel, mocha, and orange all swirled into one.
2. Brown Cow
A brown cow is really a grown-up glass of milk if I’m being honest. With ice, Kahlua, and milk, it’s the best drink for dunking a warm chocolate chip cookie.
But hey, you could dunk any cookie you want in there, even Oreos. After all, it’s your drink, so why not have fun with it?
3. Salted Caramel White Russian
I don’t even know where to start when describing how buttery and creamy this drink is. Like a caramel candy in a glass, it almost melts even more in your mouth than a real one.
You won’t want to leave off the sea salt, as it adds a little something. Be warned, though, they are so rich that you probably can’t have more than one or two.
4. Kahlua Mocha Milkshake
This milkshake with vanilla ice cream, chocolate liqueur, Kahlua, and mocha iced coffee is the thing that dreams are made of. The coffee pushes it to the next level, since Kahlua and coffee go hand in hand.
This milkshake will help you beat the heat and treat your sweet tooth, so you’ll feel like you’re rolling in money.
This one is guaranteed to please.
5. Espresso Martini
Calling all you coffee lovers! When you enjoy your first sip of this espresso martini, you’ll wonder how you made it this far without it.
The Kahlua cuts the bitterness of the espresso, which makes for a light and velvety smooth, simply divine drink. Since this martini goes down easy, it’s the perfect one to have whether it’s before or after dinner.
6. Kahlua Hot Chocolate
Now, if coffee isn’t really your jam, this Kahlua number might be more up your alley. It’ll bring you right back to those nostalgic childhood feelings, but with a delicious Kahlua bite.
Depending on how you like it, you can add more or less Kahlua to get the exact flavor (and proof) you want. Want to go all out? Add whipped cream and chocolate chips on top to really indulge!
7. Black Russian
I’m sure you’ve had tons of white Russians, but what about a black Russian? Gustave Tops, a bartender, thought to create this drink way back in 1949 at the Hotel Metropole.
Made with just Kahlua and vodka, this one hits a bit harder than the white version. You’re sure to feel inspired to sit back and chill.
8. Kahlua Coca-Cola Float
If you loved the fizz and cream in root beer floats when you were younger, then you’ll feel the same way about this Kahlua Coca-Cola float. Made with ice cream, it’s really more of a dessert, but however you enjoy it, it’s sure to please.
If Coca-Cola is too sweet for you, you can always try root beer or cream soda, but personally, I think Coke’s the way to go.
9. Coffee with Kahlua
Even though it doesn’t sound like a cocktail, boozy coffee can be a great way to have something strong! To get it, you just need to leave out the cream and pour in some Kahlua.
You can’t get much easier than that!
It’s one of my favorite Kahlua options because of how simple it is. And I really love coffee no matter what form it takes.
